Hrithik Roshan and ‘Daaku Maharaaj’ director Bobby Kolli will not collaborate for new project - Reports

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan recently found himself at the center of fresh collaboration rumors as several reports claimed that the actor might be teaming up with Telugu filmmaker Bobby Kolli, who directed Balayya's 'Daaku Maharaaj.'

The speculation started after an interview featuring Telugu screenwriter-producer Kona Venkat began circulating widely on X. In the video, Kona Venkat spoke about a story discussion involving Hrithik Roshan.

According to him, he, along with director Bobby Kolli and writer K. Chakravarthy Reddy, had narrated a story to the Bollywood star.

Kona Venkat’s interview sparks speculation

In the circulating video, Kona Venkat spoke about their interaction with the actor. He revealed that a story narration had taken place recently. The team had presented an idea to Hrithik Roshan.

He also mentioned that the actor responded positively to the concept. This statement was enough to fuel speculation across social media platforms. Soon, many assumed that the project had already moved forward. However, the latest updates suggest otherwise. The collaboration rumors appear to have been misunderstood.

The report clarifies no project is currently planned

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter India, Hrithik Roshan is not collaborating with Bobby Kolli for his next film. The report clarified that while a meeting between the teams did take place earlier, it did not progress further.

A report further added that there was a meeting a while back, and it was a positive interaction, but nothing materialized beyond that, which is quite common in the industry. At the moment, there is no project being discussed with Hrithik.

Hrithik Roshan’s big pan-India film

While the Bobby Kolli collaboration is not happening at the moment, Hrithik Roshan already has a major project lined up. The actor is set to star in a large-scale pan-India film with Hombale Films.

The production house announced the collaboration last year. The studio shared a note while announcing the project. The message read, “They call him the Greek God. Amid the film buzz, Hrithik also made headlines for a personal reason. The actor recently shared a heartfelt social media post about his sons.

Posting a throwback picture with them, he reflected on fatherhood and pride. His caption struck an emotional chord with many fans.

He wrote, “ANOTHER STATUTORY WARNING. #loverant. Man, it's so much fun to see your kids shine. Caught myself thinking how proud I am as a father."

The actor then continued his reflection. He added, “For the men they are growing into, their talents, accomplishments, their work ethic, humility, and full-chested pride. Then it struck me how pride always implicates accomplishment. Starts that very vicious cycle of "I am loved if I perform." And slowly pride, that tricksy fellow, starts masquerading as "love."
