In an interview with a news portal, Guneet said that the festival is extra special for her because this is the first Sikh New Year she is celebrating after her marriage with Sunny Kapoor. It is also special because she won an Oscar this year for her documentary. The producer added that she also has her parents this time (referring to her in-laws).
