Varun Dhawan is all set for his second dance film, 'Street Dancer 3D' to hit the screen. The film, which also marks his second collaboration with dancer/filmmaker Remo D’Souza, is creating ripples in the industry with two songs - 'Muqabla' with Prabhudheva recreating his magic from the original in this redux version and 'Garmi' with
Nora Fatehi. Varun, in an interview with a film trade website, said that Remo showed him two documentaries that inspired him to do dance film.
One of the documentaries was centered around Sikh Welfare and Awareness Team (SWAT), a Sikh charity that helps the needy and the displaced with food, clothing, and shelter. What he didn't anticipate was the fact that he had to learn several dance forms that is considered contemporary and new school. However, that was not the only scariest thing for him, he also had to perform stunts. Varun reportedly said revealed that that he was thrown down from 20-feet in one of the songs. The actor plays Sahej, who is an ardent fan of
Michael Jackson and sports prominent tattoos of the late musician. The film, which is set to release around Republic Day weekend, also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role.
