The Bollywood remake of the Gujarati thriller 'Vash' gets the title 'Shaitan'

The highly anticipated Bollywood adaptation of the acclaimed Gujarati thriller 'Vash' has revealed its official title as 'Shaitan.'

The team recently wrapped up the shoot in London and returned to Indian shores merely three days ago, marking the culmination of a crucial phase in the production process. Opting to capture the essence of the narrative against the backdrop of London adds an international touch to the film, promising audiences a fresh and visually compelling experience.

Originally a 2023 Gujarati-language supernatural horror thriller directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, 'Vash' garnered acclaim for its enthralling storyline and stellar performances by Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodia, Janki Bodiwala, and Niilam Paanchal, earning its place in regional cinema.

‘Vash’s storyline revolved around Atharva, a family man who gets trapped in black magic by a stranger named Pratap.

The Bollywood adaptation, now titled 'Shaitan,' aims to retain the core essence of the original while introducing it to a wider audience. Led by a talented ensemble cast consisting of Ajay Devgan, Jyothika, and R. Madhavan, the remake is expected to thrill audiences just like the original Gujarati film. Moreover, the Gujarati actress Janki Bodiwala will also play a pivotal role in 'Shaitan'.
