'The Ba***ds of Bollywood': Four MAJOR reasons why Sameer Wankhede filed a defamation suit against the makers of Aryan Khan's show
Aryan Khan's directorial debut, 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', has landed itself in legal trouble. A scene from the show that indirectly represented former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede has become one of the issues for the showmakers now. The ex-NCB official has appealed in the Delhi High Court for a permanent injunction on Aryan's new show.
As per Wankhede, the scene in the show mocked him, as it featured his lookalike. The matter has been scheduled for hearing on September 26, 2025. The Indian Revenue Officer Wankhede has filed a defamation suit against the makers of 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'.
As per the report, the next point is insulting the anti-narcotics agencies like the Narcotics Control Bureau and its officers. The person told the publication, "Showing them in a very bad light when they are fighting against drugs."
The third point in the matter is that the matter is still pending before the honorable Bombay High Court. Reportedly, apart from that, a writ was filed against the CBI, and the Cordelia Cruise case is still ongoing in the NDPA special court. And since the cases are pending before the courts and the agencies, one is not allowed to show them on the screens. The source of the website stated, "Why are these things being shown in the show then—to change the outcome of the investigation? To pressurize and derail the judicial proceedings when the matter is sub judice?"
According to the report, the next point is that the NHRC has sent notice to the makers of the web series for showing prohibited things like vaping, smoking, drinking, etc.
As per the report, these are the reasons Sameer Wankhede has demanded Rs 2 crore in his defamation suit. Reportedly, he will be donating the amount to Tata Cancer Memorial Hospital.
