The narrative follows Alok Goyal, an urban reporter played by Ayushmann Khurrana, who falls in love with Tadaka / Tarika, played by Rashmika Mandanna. Their forbidden romance leads them to confront Yakshasan, the ancient and malevolent leader of the vampire faction, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The visual design is a standout; the dense forests, eerie caves, and Yakshashan’s spectral form are stunningly created. The first half breezes by with Alok’s awkward affection for Tadaka and her foray into city life. The narrative gradually deepens, revealing the betaals’ origins and the conflict at the heart of their existence. Though the pacing remains tight, a few segments feel stretched—particularly a detour where a betaal-turned-cop (Faisal Malik) takes Alok to a vampire nightclub and offers him Alexander the Great’s blood.”
