The Karna project: a hero reborn for modern times
Reportedly, Sarpotdar’s next directorial venture is a large-scale superhero film inspired by the legendary Mahabharata warrior, Karna. The film, described as a “mythological superhero saga,” will reimagine Karna’s timeless story for today’s audience. Backed by Murad Khetani known for major hits like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, and ‘Kabir Singh,’ the project aims to deliver a visually stunning and emotionally rich experience.
In this reimagining, Karna’s story of strength, fate, and moral dilemma will take center stage. Born with divine armor and earrings that made him nearly invincible, Karna’s journey reflects both heroism and heartbreak. Aditya’s idea is to present him as a superhero based on Indian mythology designed for a contemporary audience. The movie will reportedly blend nostalgia with modern storytelling.
