Tere Bin Laden : A crowd puller!

Osama Bin Laden has made a crackling debut in Bollywood! And unless you live in the Afghani caves, you know we are talking about Abhishek Sharma’s hilarious new comedy Tere Bin Laden presented by Walkwater Media and produced by Aarti Shetty and Pooja Shetty Deora.
After sky-high expectations, with industry bigwigs like Karan Johar and Salman Khan giving the film a thumbs-up, it finally opened to a great response from critics and audiences alike.
When we asked Pradhuman Singh, the Osama look-alike, what he thought of the overwhelming love for the cute, Punjabi-spouting Osama, he said, “I’m desperately looking for someone to blame, in case the real Osama catches up with me!” We don’t know about Osama, but the audience is definitely catching up with the insane humour and poignant relevance of this film.
With its American dreams and Osama nightmares, the film is finding its place in all sections of audiences. Tere Bin Laden is slowly proving that an out-of-the-box subject and novel ideas are more than welcome in this industry and that stars do not always make a film. Indian audiences are readily accepting change in the industry. Let’s hope, for our sake, that the future brings more films like Tere Bin Laden that are willing to step up to the level of our audiences.
