Kangana Ranaut's 'Tejas' witnessed a massive drop at the box office, earning just Rs 5 lakh on its sixth day. It was released alongside Vikrant Massey's '12th Fail' in theatres leading to a box office clash.
'12th Fail' is doing better than Kangana Ranaut's 'Tejas' that was released on the same day. On Wednesday, November 1, 'Tejas' earned about Rs 5 lakh. Hence, the film's total box office collection in India now stands at Rs 5.15 crore. Meanwhile, 'Tejas' had an overall 8.39 per cent occupancy on November 1.
Recently, Kangana hosted a special screening of 'Tejas' for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the Lok Bhawan Auditorium in Lucknow on Tuesday.
Kangana wrote, "today hosted a screening of #tejas a film based on a soldier / Martyr’s life for honourable Chief Minister @myogiadityanath ji."
In the film, Kangana plays the role of Tejas Gill, an Indian Air Force pilot. The character Tejas Gill is depicted as someone who puts in significant effort to achieve her dream of becoming a pilot and subsequently embarks on a perilous rescue mission.
'Tejas’ was written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara. It also stars Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Vishak Nair, Kashyap Shangari, Sunit Tandon, Rio Kapadia, Mohan Agashe and Mushtaq Kak in pivotal roles.
