Tanuj Virwani directs a short film for a social cause
Tanuj Virwani is one actor who never shies away from experimenting. From acting to direction to creating out-of-the-box concepts, there is nothing that he does not lay his hands on. Post the success of his last short film Anisht, he is all set to release his new work of art, which has been shot on his own phone. The film has been conceptualised and directed by Tanuj and is only about three minutes long. It's his way of supporting his friend Ayesha Billimoria, an athlete who has working to increase awareness among youngsters in India to become physically fit. Ayesha's movement encourages boys and girls in our country to strive hard and achieve their dreams. Talking about the film, Tanuj says, "I have often been saddened by the fact that women athletes in our country just do not get the same kind of access to facilities and opportunities as men. Unfortunately, it is a fact even today. Sure, there has been progress but I feel there is still long, long way to go. My three-minute video is a motivational tool and is a beautiful concept which I hope will inspire a lot of people to let their girls take up sports and encourage them with equal opportunities as their male counterparts."
