With the intention to punish the offender, there have been strict actions taken against the accused. In the wake of recent allegations of sexual misconduct on

AIB

co-founder Tanmay Bhat and comedian Gursimran Khamba the

MAMI

festival has decided to drop films from their line up which were associated with AIB or, with any of those accused.

In support of #Metoo movement, they have released an official statement stating that they will be dropping AIB’s 'Chintu Ka Birthday' and Rajat Kapoor’s '

Kadakh

' from their line up.

For the uninitiated, The HR Head of AIB has released an official note mentioning that Tanmay Bhat will not be involved in the day to day functioning of the company. Moreover, even Gursimran Khamba has been asked to take an extended leave. Strong steps against AIB will be taken as the entire movement has taken a different turn now on social media.
