During a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Tanishaa was questioned if she is open to working in Marathi cinema. The actress shared, “I am definitely open to Marathi cinema. There have been offers. But as you said, Marathi cinema is very high and low. There are budget constraints. Some films are made and some are not. There have been offers but no follow through. So I look forward to doing something very exciting.”

Earlier, in an interview with The Indian Express, Tanishaa expressed her gratitude to Kajol for providing her "so much privilege" in the industry, but she stated that she cannot compare her career to that of her sister.

She said, “Every actor and star has their own journey, that’s what I believe. And yes, my career was not as good as my sister, but she started when she was 16. I got so much privilege because she was in the industry. I thank her career for giving me whatever I needed. At the end of the day, I had a very comfortable career. I didn’t have to work. So from that aspect, I never compare. I think the world loves to keep comparing, I don’t live in that space.”

For the unversed, Tanishaa Mukerji made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Sssshhh…’ in 2003. She rose to prominence with the film ‘Neal n Nikki’ opposite Uday Chopra in 2005. The film failed at the box office. She has also worked in films like ‘Tango Charlie’, ‘Sarkar’, ‘Sarkar Raj’ and others. She has also been part of reality shows such as ‘Bigg Boss 7’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’.
