Tamannah Bhatia shares the true meaning of Ganesh Chaturthi: 'It is not just about rituals...'
Ganesh Chaturthi marks the joyous arrival of Lord Ganesha, bringing great happiness to his devotees. In Bollywood, the festival is celebrated with enthusiasm, as stars visit decorated pandals and come together with close friends. As the celebrations began, Tamannaah Bhatia shared her personal perspective on the festival’s significance.
A festival close to the heart
Talking about the festival, the actress told Mid-Day that Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most beautiful and joyous festivals celebrated, and it has always held a very special place in her heart. Every year, when Lord Ganesha comes home, there is a certain kind of magic in the air — the sound of the dhol, the fragrance of flowers, the chanting of prayers, and the energy of togetherness. It is not just about rituals; it is about the emotions shared with families, friends, and the community.
The deeper significance
Highlighting the importance of celebrations, she believes that for her, Ganesh Chaturthi is also a reminder of growth and prosperity. Lord Ganesha is known as Vigna Haritha, and she truly believes that when they welcome him into their homes and hearts, they are also welcoming positivity, courage, and hope for the future. This festival teaches patience, humility, and the importance of happiness.
Upcoming projects
On the work front, Tamannaah will star in Anees Bazmee’s ‘No Entry 2’ with Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh. She will also lead the folk thriller ‘Vvan’ with Sidharth Malhotra and act in the action movie ‘Ranger’ by Jagan Shakti. Additionally, she is working with Rohit Shetty on a new biographical action film with John Abraham. She will also appear in ‘Do You Wanna Partner’ with Diana Penty, Jaaved Jafferi, and Nakuul Mehta, which will be on an OTT platform.
