Actor Tamannaah Bhatia who was summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in connection with the illegal IPL matches streaming case, was asked to appear for questioning as a witness on April 29. Now as per the latest report, the 'Bahubali' actress has allegedly requested the Cyber Cell to give her a later date.

A report on News 18 stated that Tamannaah has notified the Cyber Cell about her absence in Mumbai and her potential availability at a later date. There is no update from the officials if the actress' summon has been rescheduled to a later date.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has already recorded the statements of singer Badshah and Jacqueline Fernandez in the case. Actor Sanjay Dutt also received a summon, but requested the agency for a later date, as he was not in the country.

Over 200 names of Bollywood celebrities and sports personalities have cropped up in the ongoing illegal streaming case. This refers to the unauthorized broadcasting of the Indian Premier League (IPL) via an application, which reportedly cost Viacom 18 losses to the tune of Rs 100 crore.

Viacom 18 held exclusive broadcasting rights for the renowned cricket tournament. The actors and actresses implicated in the case are summoned for allegedly promoting and endorsing the app, which also promotes betting, which is illegal in India.

Reportedly, the FIR was registered after Viacom18 complained against the betting app platform, for streaming the IPL matches despite the former holding the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to stream the games.
