And the flavour this Friday is the threesome, which makes an appearance in all three releases.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Bubblegum romance is back after a while with </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Kuch Naa Kaho</span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">. Nearly three decades after their fathers created Bollywood’s biggest success story, </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Sholay</span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">, Abhishek Bachchan and Rohan Sippy are hoping to create magic with their first venture together. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Kuch Naa Kaho </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">is Sippy Junior’s first film and if all goes well, it could be his friend and Bachchan Junior’s first hit. It’s a frothy love story, in which Bachchan romances Aishwarya Rai and the surprise package unfolds towards the end of the film. The buzz says it’s Arbaaz Khan but Sippy would not tell. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Like newcomer Sippy, Parvati Balagopalan has also dealt with a love story for her first film venture. Her </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Rules (Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula) </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">also has three main characters, model-turned-actor Milind Soman and newcomers Meera Vasudevan and Namrata Barua. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Unlike the big-budget </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Kuch Naa Kaho</span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">, </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Rules </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">is a smaller project targeted at the multiplex phenomenon. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Both films claim to be different, but </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Rules </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">sounds like a fresh concept. The story revolves around Radha, who is in love with a supermodel. She has a chance meeting with him and figures he already has a woman in his life. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">A shattered Radha gets help from the most unlikely quarter. Her grandmom, played by the seasoned Tanuja, enlightens her about the formulae to win over a man. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Kuch Naa Kaho</span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">, on the other hand, seems like a love story without much difference. Bachchan is an NRI, strictly against arranged marriages, an option his family forces him to consider, and pursue. His uncle assigns the job to his employee, played by Aishwarya Rai. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">The two don’t exactly paint the town red initially, but in what has become a Bollywood staple, develop a chemistry soon after. Till, Bachchan discovers the surprise. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold=""><img align="left" src="/photo/165675.cms" alt="/photo/165675.cms" border="0" />Also in the fray is director Sudhir Mishra who returns to the fold after seven years with </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Calcutta Mail</span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">. A bigger budget venture by his standards, it brings together Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee and Manisha Koirala. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Koirala’s presence in the film was kept a secret, apparently as the director wanted to dispel the notion it was a love story. </span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="">Like several of Mishra’s earlier films, </span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Calcutta Mail</span><span style="" font-size:="" font-weight:="" bold=""> is a thriller in which Kapoor comes to the metro searching for something but finds himself being looked out for. No love story here, but the presence of the spunky Rani Mukherjee and the surprise package, Manish Koirala sounds interesting enough.</span></div> </div>
