Tahir Raj Bhasin, who is known for his intense roles in Mardaani, Force 2 and Chhichhore, has a strong fondness for tattoos. However, due to his profession, he avoids getting more body art. He shares, “I was 18 years old when I got this really big tattoo on my back, and I’m fortunate that I chose the back and not something as crazy as the neck or the forearm because as an actor, you can’t have the same tattoo for different characters. I would have to constantly cover it up with makeup. But it was a sign of rebellion back then. I don’t regret having it now, but I’m just glad that it’s on the back. In the future, I definitely intend to get more, maybe on my ankle or elbows or places that the camera doesn’t necessarily catch easily.”
That streak of rebellion doesn’t just show in his love for tattoos; it also reflects in the kind of roles he chooses. “It’s the rebel in me that chooses the kind of parts I pick up. I’ve always gravitated more towards roles that are disruptive. Even if you look at my role in the recent Special Ops 2, he is a rebel. He likes to operate outside of the system. I always try and find something within the characters that I play with. So, there’s always a hint of that rebellion in everything that I play.”
