Taapsee Pannu wants to work with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey again. The duo has previously collaborated for films like ‘Baby’ and ‘Naam Shabana’. In a recent candid conversation with Pinkvilla, Taapsee Pannu revealed her earnest desire to reunite with Neeraj Pandey for another project. Her enthusiasm and admiration for the director's work are reflected in her words, as she humorously appeals, "Please, Mujhe Kaam Dedo!" Known for their successful partnership in films like ‘Baby and ‘Naam Shabana’, Pannu revealed that she has been actively pursuing the director for another project.
Taapsee shared that she kept meeting him every now and then, asking him to do a project together. She also added that not just cinephiles; even she was waiting to work with him.
Taapsee Pannu reminisced about the early stages of her career and the pivotal role Neeraj Pandey played in it. She highlighted his belief in her talent, recounting the extraordinary opportunity he provided by casting her in a full-fledged film with a title role, despite initially having only a 7-minute role in ‘Baby’. The actress expressed her gratitude for the director’s support in early stages of her career. “Because he is one of those very few people who believed in me at the very beginning stage of my career,” she added.
Taapsee Pannu also admitted to being ‘shamelessly’ persistent in her approach, not only with Neeraj Pandey but also with other directors. She playfully revealed, “When I have to tell them, ‘Please mujhey kaam dedo’ so, I do that with a lot of other directors also, but with him, I’ve been consistently after him, and I’m just hoping he remembers me. I keep showing my face now and then so he doesn’t forget me,” expressing her determination to continue working with the director.
