Taapsee Pannu says she would have been better at playing Udham Singh but Vicky Kaushal will do a decent job

Vicky Kaushal will be playing the role of Sardar Udham Singh in his upcoming film. The film will be helmed by Soojit Sircar. Now, Taapsee Pannu who worked with Vicky in Anurag Kashyap's 'Manmarziyaan' share a good bond with him.

Recently, she took her Twitter to congratulate the actor for bagging the role. However, she has her own unique of doing the same. Taapsee retweeted Soojit's tweet where he shared the first look of the film and said that she had been persuading Sircar to cast her in the role of Udham Singh in the biopic as she would have been quite good at playing it.However, she further quipped that as Vicky has got the role, he would do a decent job.
Well, not to forget, this was just for fun. The actress added in a tweet, that she will wait for the film's release as her favourites are working the film.
Producer Ronnie Lahiri replied to Taapsee's tweet and said, "He’s trying to match up to your standards" to which the 'Mulk' star said, "Tell him to keep trying ! He will reach somewhere close by :D".

Soojit had said that the film is based on the life of Udham Singh and since Vicky is from Punjab, a Sikh family, he has a huge responsibility on him while playing the character.
