Swara Bhasker has shut down trolls who questioned why her husband, activist Fahad Ahmad, skipped Holi celebrations this year. Some social media users were quick to link his absence due to religious reasons. Not one to mince her words, the actress clapped back, making her stance crystal clear.

Taking to her handle, she shared glimpses of her Holi celebrations with family on Instagram. The pictures captured her enjoying the festival with husband Fahad Ahmad and their baby, Rabiya. While Swara and Rabiya were drenched in vibrant holid colors, Fahad stayed color-free as he was fasting for Ramazan.

The 'Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo' actress took to her Instagram stories to re-share the pictures and wrote, “Happy Holi ya’ll! Gentle reminder: it’s possible to celebrate our festivals and share joy WITHOUT forcing people to participate."

Swara and Fahad married in February 2023 and welcomed their daughter later that year. As a high-profile couple, in an interfaith marriage, the two have frequently faced online trolling. Fahad, a Samajwadi Party leader, and Swara, known for her outspoken views, have often been subjected to unwarranted scrutiny.

Despite the negativity, the couple has put up a united front while hosting various festivals, family celebrations and even qawwali night.
