actress

said she still feels like an outsider in Bollywood as it is tough to make a mark in the industry so soon.

"It is not easy for anyone to make a mark in this industry. I struggle each day to do the work that I am doing. It is extremely difficult, as difficult as it could be in any profession. I don't think I have still made a mark for myself. I still look at myself like as an outsider. I like it that way. Getting a good role is a tough job," Swara said.

Even though, her acting skills are always applauded, Swara believes commercial success is as important as critical acclaim. "It is very important for me because it's very important for the producers to back great films. Box office success in a way encourages good content, good cinema."

    Swara's last two films- '

    Nil Battey Sannata

' and 'Anaarkali Of Aarah'- were women-centric projects and the actress making female oriented movies is not a trend but a big change the Indian film industry is seeing.

"The number of women oriented films have increased and this is not only by smaller production houses, even the big ones have taken this a level up. Where as we have a superstar like Amitabh Bachchan Ji doing 'Pink' and 'Piku', we also have someone like me doing 'Anaarkali of Aarah'."

Earlier, on the sets of 'Entertainment Ki Raat', Swara made some surprising statements.
Confessing about cosmetic surgery, Swara said, "I didn't think anything was happening. I was answering questions candidly and in jest since we were on a comedy show. When asked about how I lost weight, I spoke about how I was so worried about weight loss (for her next, 'Veere Di Wedding') that I did everything from working out in the gym to the Keto diet to naturopathy to Fat Freezing - which is a non invasive method of spot fat reduction." "I have no shame in talking about this. I'm an actor and I was working towards a role. It is my job to work towards looking and being the part I have to play," she added. (Photo: Instagram)
Actress Swara further stated, "I have spoken previously in a light-hearted way about being in a Wiki-war with unknown persons about my age, and how I've spun 'an elaborate fake web of lies to hide my age'. I was simply jokingly pointing to the fact that ageing is a stress factor for actresses and I am no different. My manner of dealing with it is to turn it into a public joke, something of an open secret, because humour can be a subversive manner of challenging stereotypes about ageing and glamour."
