Swades actress Gayatri Joshi and husband Vikas Oberoi are currently in Italy, where their vehicle met with an accident. Their car was involved in a multiple-car collision.
According to reports, Gayatri and Vikas’ car crashed into other vehicles and a camper car. The accident reportedly took place as a Lamborgini and Ferrari tried to overtake a camper van simultaneously. This caused an overturn on a rural road of Sardinia and multiple cars collided.
The Ferrari apparently caught fire, resulting in the demise of the passengers identified as Melissa Krautli, 63, and Markus Krautli, 67. The couple was from Switzerland. This tragic incident reportedly occurred during the Sardinia Supercar Tour, an event where luxury cars parade from Teulada to Olbia. Confirming the unfortunate event, Gayatri told Free Press Journal that their car had met with an accident but they both were ‘absolutely fine’.
Gayatri Joshi marked her acting debut with Ashutosh Gowariker helmed 'Swades'. This blockbuster film released in 2004 and starred Gyatri as the leading lady opposite Shah Rukh Khan. However, after 'Swades,' Gayatri decided to step away from acting and quit the industry. In 2005, the actress married businessman Vikas Oberoi.
