Sutapa Sikdar joins ‘2026 is the new 2016’ trend and remembers late husband Irrfan Khan in an emotional post
Sutapa Sikdar, wife of late actor Irrfan Khan recently joined the new trend ‘2026 is the new 2016’. Sikdar looked back at a time that still feels close to her heart. Through a touching Instagram post, she remembered the smiles, the journeys, and the moments that felt complete because Irrfan was by her side.
Her note also mentioned small joys and big milestones from that year. From meeting Tom Hanks to taking a girls’ trip to Goa, she remembered it all. She also spoke about attending the Inferno premiere in Florence, spending time in the jungles, and producing Madari. Ending on a reflective note, she wrote, “2026 tall order isn’t it,” making the post even more emotional.
Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 53, in a Mumbai hospital. He died due to complications from a colon infection, after battling neuroendocrine cancer diagnosed in 2018.
