Sutapa Sikdar draws comparisons from late husband Irrfan Khan’s ‘Madaari’ film with Mumbai's under construction bridge collapse

Earlier in the day, 14 labourers had a miraculous escape after a bridge which was under construction collapsed in the city. Throwing light to the incident, Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa took to her social media handle to draw a parallel from his film ‘Madaari'.
Sharing a news report, she wrote, “Stories are made films and people come and go. situation remains the same.Reminder of our film. #madaari #irrfan”

Back in 2016, filmmaker Nishikant Kamat’s film ‘Madaari’ despite being a sleeper hit at the box office, had become a cult classic years later due to its realistic and gripping storyline. The social thriller starred Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Shergill in pivotal roles.
The film revolves around a man who lost his son due to the negligence of the government, sets out seeks revenge and kidnaps the ten-year-old son of the home minister, forcing the administration to meet his demands.

Irrfan Khan was a powerhouse of talent and has been part of rich content driven movies like ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Maqbool’, ‘Lunchbox’ among others. The eminent actor passed away this year April 29 suffering from colon infection.

The actor had crafted a niche for himself, and his contribution to Indian Cinema won him several accolades and recognition. He was last seen in ‘Angrezi Medium.’
