Sussanne Khan says she never claimed to be an architect

has emphasised that she never suggested that she was an architect during her dealings with

Emgee Group

for a signature project in Goa. Her role was stated as being that of a creative director, who would look into the design details of the project. In fact, Khan states in a letter to the media, that she dealt in a "completely transparent manner" and always intended to hire "further talent for architecture". On June 18, Khan was booked by Panaji police in a Rs 1.87 crore cheating case.

Khan says that her design store, The Charcoal Project, had hired the services of city-based Rooshad Shroff, who runs an architectural firm, in September 2013. These collaterals and brochures were produced for the Emgee Group and Mr. Gupta, thus how could they be unaware of the facts?" the statement said.
