On the occasion of International Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31, Sushmita Sen teamed up with transgender activist Gauri Sawant for an inspiring video.

Sushmita will soon be seen essaying the role of Gauri Shinde in her upcoming film, ‘Taali’. The film is based on the real life story of the transgender activist. It is being directed by acclaimed Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav.
Earlier, a source informed ETimes that the makers had considered a few actors to cast for the lead role. But, Sushmita suited the character perfectly, and she has just nailed it. The source further added, "She is totally in love with the character and she was convinced that she had to portray Gauri on screen."
While not a lot is known about the story of this project, it is believed that it will recreate the major moments of Gauri's life.
