Sushant Singh Rajput death case highlights: Rhea Chakraborty will be sent to Byculla jail tomorrow; to spend the night in NCB custody

Investigations into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has taken a new turn with a possible drug angle becoming the central point of the probe. After the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation interrogating the main accused – Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Siddharth Pithani, Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi – the Narcotics Control Bureau has stepped in to conduct their investigation into the case. At a time when the late actor’s family is rallying up fans to join various social media movements, Bollywood stars are slowly rising to stand by Rhea and slam the ‘witch hunt’ she has been facing. NCB seeks 14-day judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty

Rhea Chakraborty will be will be produced before the magistrate via video conferencing and according to Times Now, NCB is seeking 14-day judicial custody of the actress. Their remand copy states that Rhea is an active member of drug syndicate, she procured drugs for consumption and was involved in financial deals.

After the last leg of questioning of Rhea Chakraborty by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the actress was taken into custody. Now, reports are rife that she might be undergoing a medical examination today itself before the sunset. According to Times Now, Rhea Chakraborty will undergo a medical test at a Government hospital. The report also stated that a makeshift lockup has been made in the NCB office for female prisoners where the actress might be kept when she is under their custody.
