Before his sad and sudden demise,
Sushant Singh Rajput was majorly in the news for his rumoured relationship with
Rhea Chakraborty. While they called each other “just friends”, their outings, dinner dates and social media PDAs spoke volumes about their love affair.
According to the latest report in Mumbai Mirror, Sushant and Rhea were prepping up for their first
movie
together. The couple was to feature in
Rumy Jafry
’s
rom-com
next. Spilling the beans on the same, the filmmaker told the news publication that the script of the
film
was locked and they were to begin shooting in May. However, the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown delayed things. The director added that he lost Irrfan Khan, then Rishi Kapoor and Wajid and now Sushant. He is also so disturbed that his father has asked him to return home to Bhopal.
Talking about the film, the shoot was to be started in Mumbai and then it would have been followed by a London schedule. The film was untitled and was expected to wrap things up by November. However, early March all shootings ceased due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Elaborating more, Rumy added that the film was supposed to be a rom-com where he wanted to explore Sushant's dancing skills. Rumy said that Sushant was a fantastic dancer and he wanted to use his skills in his film. The film was 'a full-fledged dance number'.
Sushant was found hanging in his Mumbai apartment. However, no
suicide
note was found in the house. The post-mortem report has proved that it is death due to suicide. His funeral took place on June 15 with many
Bollywood
celebs making their presence felt.
