Delhi University's Hans Raj College had a surprise visitor on Monday ' an alumnus who visited the hostel so early that students were still asleep. Anurag Kashyap, who was at Hindu College that day to deliver a lecture, made a surprise visit to his alma mater before the lecture. He reached the college around 8.30am ' and nobody from the college had the slightest clue that he was coming.
Shridhar Kumar Singh, a third year hosteller, says, "I was in the hostel when he came.

He went to his old room, sat there for some time and spoke to us about his hostel days. He told us that the condition of the rooms was better now than during his time. He also told us that back in those days, they could get anyone into their rooms from the college."

Aayush Bahl, another hosteller, adds, "He entered the college from the main gate. He was here around 8.30 am and was just roaming around in the campus. Since it was 8.30, there were not many people in the college. When he came to the hostel, people were asleep and he just went around knocking on the doors ' students were shocked to see him. He came without any security and left within half an hour. While leaving, he said that he would come back around 2 pm to have lunch with us, but he finally didn't."

Ishvender Pal Singh, also a third year student, says that since Anurag visited early in the morning, many got to know about the visit only after he left. "Nobody knew he was coming ' some were attending classes and some were sleeping in the hostel. He just wanted to come to the college so he turned up, spent some time here and left."
