Sunny Deol wraps shooting as Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan: Exclusive

Sunny Deol is experiencing one of the most remarkable comebacks in recent years, and the wave shows no signs of slowing down. According to sources, Sunny Deol has wrapped shooting for his portions in the first installment of the magnum opus , sometime back. He will be seen essaying the role of Lord Hanuman in the two-part epic, a casting decision that has generated immense buzz ever since whispers about it surfaced. With his towering presence and trademark intensity, Deol is said to embody the strength and devotion associated with Hanuman, adding yet another layer of gravitas to Tiwari’s vision.


The first part of Ramayan has now been completed, marking a significant milestone for the ambitious project. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, with Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Kannada superstar Yash taking on the menacing role of Raavan. The release schedule has already been locked in: the first part will arrive in cinemas during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.

Border 2, the sequel to his 1997 war classic, is slated for release on Republic Day 2026 and is already creating excitement among fans eager to see Deol return to one of his most iconic roles. He also headlines Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and backed by Aamir Khan, a project that promises to be high on drama and patriotism. Alongside these, a few more films are in the pipeline, ensuring that Deol’s presence will be strongly felt on the big screen in the coming years.
