Sunjay Kapur's prayer meet: Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, along with Samaira and Kiaan, head to Delhi

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor is travelling to Delhi today for the prayer meet of her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur. Sunjay, an industrialist, passed away on June 12 after suffering a heart attack while playing polo in London. His last rites were held on June 19 in New Delhi, where Karisma attended with her children.

Karisma travels with Samaira and Kiaan

Karisma was seen at the Kalina airport on Sunday noon with her daughter Samaira and son Kiaan as they headed to the national capital.

Soon after Karisma and her children were spotted, her sister Kareena Kapoor and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan were also seen at the airport. The couple are also expected to attend the prayer meet in Delhi. Dressed simply and respectfully, they appeared calm as they made their way to the flight. The prayer meet is planned to take place from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi.


Sunjay Kapur’s funeral took place at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi. The ceremony was attended by close family members and well-wishers, including Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. It was a solemn occasion as the family said their final goodbyes.

Sunjay passed away on 12 June while playing polo in London. Reports say he suffered a heart attack during the match. Some reports claimed a bee sting may have caused the heart attack, but there has been no official confirmation about the cause of death yet.
