Suniel Shetty recalls helping Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff: ‘They were already stars...'

Suniel Shetty shares a good bond with Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff. In a recent interview, he talked about his friendships in the film industry that have endured over time. Shetty also addressed the incident when he gifted Salman an expensive shirt, as the latter couldn't afford it at that time. He even opened up about Jackie revealing the 'Awara Paagal Deewana' actor offered his house when the former's father was ill.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Suniel Shetty recalled how special it was when Jackie Shroff and Salman Khan visited his clothing store back in the day. At the time, both were already established stars, and their presence alone felt like a big deal to him. He said their visit acted as indirect publicity for his business. Reflecting on his bond with the two, Shetty shared that while Jackie has always been his hero, Salman is a close friend.

Shetty expressed that Khan and Shroff talking about such incidents is because they are humble. He said, "That just shows the bond we share.”

He went on to say that even in the current times, Jackie Shroff is just one "phone call away." Suniel further stated that if he asks Salman to include him in a movie, the latter won't even question it.

He said, "Not because I helped them back then, but because that’s the kind of respect and brotherhood we have always had."

In an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2021, Suniel and Jackie were guests. At that time, Jackie told host Amitabh Bachchan that his father's skin was peeling off due to a penicillin reaction. At that time, Suniel offered his house, not even thinking twice. Shroff shared, "He vacated it for us. I stayed there with my father for 10–15 days. That’s the kind of man he is."


Meanwhile, during an award show in 2022, Salman Khan stated that when he didn't have money to shop, back in the day, he went to Suniel's store. Khan added that he had his eye on a stone-wash shirt and a wallet. He further shared, "He saw me struggling and just gifted both to me. That stayed with me forever."
