Deepika Padukone's exit from 'Spirit' sparked a new debate in the industry about long work hours in the film industry. And recently, actor
Suniel Shetty shared his opinion about the ongoing discussion. The veteran actor shared that he doesn't like to extend and exhaust himself. Let's learn more about what he has to say.
Suniel Shetty shares his opinion about long work shifts in the film industry
In an interview with Mid-Day, Suniel Shetty shared that he has lived the life in his own way. The actor said, "Even being a part of the industry, I have only made sure that I work during my work hours. If it’s a 9 to 6, I would expect it to be 9 to 6." He added that if his producer is facing financial issues, he would readily extend his shift. He said, "If my producer is in trouble, I’ll do a 9 to 9 the next morning, but that understanding is important; otherwise, you can’t get the best output from me."
Suniel Shetty expressed, "You’re talking about 12-hour or 18-hour work. It’s not possible."
The actor went on to share that he was an "action hero," and if he doesn't "get my break or my lunch, I become the most irritable person. I need that break because that’s what recharges me. So, if you want the best output, you give me my breaks."
Suniel Shetty shares his thoughts on overextending work
In the same conversation, Suniel Shetty shared that he believes that a person cannot "achieve anything in life by overextending yourself or constantly pushing your limits."
The actor added that for him, "Fitness is my life." Suniel Shetty stated that he is who he is because of the fitness, and if "you take away the gym from me, you take away my life." He concluded, sharing that the people who expect him to work need to realize that as well.
