'Sita Ramam', starring
Dulquer Salmaan and
Mrunal Thakur, is surely one of the most heartbreaking love stories ever shown on-screen.
Now, the actor Sumanth made everyone laugh at the pre-release event of 'Dacoit' when he publicly apologized to Mrunal Thakur for his character’s actions in Sita Ramam. He jokingly said his role was responsible for separating Ram and Sita in the film.
Mrunal responded in a playful manner, saying one film was not enough for forgiveness.
Sumanth’s on-stage apology
As reported by Gulte, during the grand pre-release event of 'Dacoit' in Hyderabad, Sumanth recalled his role as Major Tariq in 'Sita Ramam'. He said, "“In that film, it is because of my character that Ram (Dulquer Salmaan) gets separated from Sita. Actually, there was a scene where I apologize to Sita, but it was removed during editing. So that apology has been pending since then. That’s why I’m saying sorry to Mrunal here in front of everyone now.”
Mrunal Thakur's witty reply
Mrunal Thakur responded with equal wit. She said one film opportunity was not enough for forgiveness and that she would consider accepting his apology only if he gave her chances in three or four more films.
'Dacoit' pre-release event
The pre-release event of 'Dacoit' was held with much fanfare in Hyderabad. Prominent guests including Venkatesh, Siddu Jonnalagadda, Sumanth, and Rahul Ravindran attended and added to the celebrations.
