The trailer of 'Badla', which is slated to release this Friday on March 8, has generated immense curiosity among cine buffs. A remake of of a 2016 Spanish film, 'The Invisible Guest', it stars
Amitabh Bachchan and
Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles. Director
Sujoy Ghosh feels that he could not have made the film without the senior actor. In an interview to a daily, he says that he had literally drag Bachchan to do the film as he could not think of making the film without him.
The actor's character in the film was such that it could not be played by anyone else. The only other actors that came to his mind while visualising the character in his head was
Balraj Sahni, who's passed away a long time ago. Besides, Sahni, he also thought of
Dilip Kumar in that role.

The director also admits to not messing around with the original story of 'Badla', but has tried to adapt the characters to a world familiar to the Indian film viewers.
