Vinay Pathak, who was last seen as
Kriti Sanon’s father in
'Luka Chuppi'
, recently wrapped up a dark situational comedy, 'Chappad Phaad Ke', after a 30-day schedule in Pune. In the Sameer Joshi directorial, the 50-year-old actor from
Bihar plays Sharad Gupchup, the patriarch of a middle-class Maharashtrian family.
“When you are not worried about doing a good job, everything is easy. One has to be on their toes and do a little bit of research though. I was surrounded by a wonderful Marathi crew, including my director who helped me get the nuances right,” Vinay said, quick to add that it’s not an out-and-out comedy.
The film is a window to the consumerism and hypocrisy that engulfs our daily lives. The story takes an interesting twist when the family stumbles upon a bag of unclaimed cash and this leads to an ethical dilemma.
