ctor Anshuman Jha, of “Love Sex Aur Dhoka” fame recently returned from Latur after wrapping up National Award winning direct “Bakra”. The actor, however, is currently nursing a sprained foot which he incurred while trying to better a shot by riding his bike with a goat as pillion. But that’s not all. The young actor has gone one-up by damaging a tissue in his right elbow during the shoot of one of his many action sequences in Sanjay Khanduri’s “Kismet, Luv, Paisa, Dilli,” Anshuman, who is doing all the stunts himself, had to break through a wall of glass and do a summersault when the said injury took place.
But despite all the injuries, the actor is in the city today to wrap up Prasar Suman’s debut feature. “Suman’s film needs to hit some festival deadlines. Therefore, as soon as I wrapped up “KLPD” and “Bakra” I made my way to Hyderabad,” says the actor. Quiz him on his injuries and he says, “Well, I’m a little fatigued and injured, of course after all the back-to-back shoots and action sequences, but Hyderabad is one of my favorite cities, so I wouldn’t miss a chance to visit Hyderabad, injury or otherwise.”
Meanwhile, the actor tells us about the various injuries that he suffered. “I was riding a bike with a goat as pillion and was making sure that the goat was safe when I sprained my foot during the shooting of “Bakra”. In “KLPD” I’ve done some crazy action sequences, and that resulted in those numerous injuries,” elaborates Anshuman. Despite the injuries, the actor refuses to use a body double. “It’s been a childhood fascination of mine to do stunts. And no, I’m not trying to prove a point or anything by not using a double. I just enjoy doing my own stunts. It gives me a high. Also, the shot looks better if the actor himself does the stunts.”
