'Student of the Year 2': Karan Johar talks about Will Smith's cameo in the film

After a long wait, the trailer of 'Student of the Year 2' was launched today in a grand fashion in Mumbai with the makers and cast in attendance. The sequel of 'Student of the Year' which was released in 2012 marking the debut of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra will see two more new faces being introduced by Karan Johar.

The film will see Tiger Shroff sharing screen space with debutants Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. The trailer has garnered a mixed response from the audience as they were still rooting for the original movie. During media interaction, KJo was quizzed about Will Smith's cameo to which he replied saying, "Will Smith was here to shoot for his program. Ironically we were shooting for SOTY 2 then. And I have known Will for some time and hence we were thrilled to have him but if he is there in the movie or not, you’ll have to wait and watch for the film."

The film which is helmed by Punit Malhotra is slated to release on 10 May 2019 and will also see cameo appearances by Alia, Varun and Sidharth.
