Recently, there are some reports doing the rounds on the Internet stating that 'Stree' co-producers
Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK of D2R Films have got into a dispute over sharing of profits. As per reports, the two parties are bound by a contract to split profits into two equal halves.
The film has earned a profit of approximately Rs 40 crore, so Vijan owes around Rs 20 crore to Raj & DK.
However, reports claim that he is not ready to pay them more than Rs 4 crore. The director-producer duo sent their financial manager Madhu Mantena to Vijan to resolve the issue but Maddock Films told him that at maximum, they will shell out Rs 5 crore.
There are also reports doing rounds which claim that Raj & DK did not make any financial contributions to the film, neither they produce the film fully. While a source close to Raj & DK reportedly said that the director-producer duo were not only the writers of the film but also got their assistant to helm the film. The source claimed that from casting and shooting to editing, mixing and music, Raj & DK were involved in the making of 'Stree' at its every step.
