Accompanied by his sister, Shehnaz, and BCCI vice-president, Rajeev Shukla, the actor took an early morning chartered flight to Jaipur. After a brief rest, they took a chartered flight from Jaipur to Kishangarh, an airstrip 27 km from Ajmer.
News of the star’s arrival spreadlike wildfire and by the time he reached the dargah around 11.30 am, a1,000-strong crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of him. He entered the dargahpremises through the back door, popularly known as Solah Khambha gate. He spentabout 20 minutes praying and offering a chaddar.
While everybodyconjectured that he was there to pray for his team’s win over Team Jaipurthe same evening, he said, “My mother had a deep faith in Khwaja Saheb andfrequently paid visits to the dargah. I am here to pray for her on her 20thdeath anniversary.” But whether or not he prayed for his team’s win,the day ended well for them, as the Knights won the match.
