After the success of 'Subh Mangal Saavhan', the producer-actor duo of Aanand L. Rai and
Ayushmann Khurrana is reuniting once again, this time for a gay love story titled '
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan
'. The film, which will be a comedy featuring a homosexual love story, has already gone on the floors. The makers have today announced the cast of the film.
After a lot of speculations, the makers have finally announced the actor who will play the lead opposite Ayushmann in the film.
Jitendra Kumar, who has starred in many popular web series and YouTube sketches, has been cast in the role. The actor is very well known by the name Jeetu Bhaiyya on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
As per reports, the makers wanted a relatively fresh face who could pull off the character of a small town boy. After doing the rounds of auditions, the makers zeroed in on Jitendra.
Apart from Jitendra Kumar, the film also features Ayushmann's 'Badhaai Ho' co-stars
Neena Gupta and
Gajraj Rao in significant roles. The film also casts TV actress Pankhuri Awasthy, Manu Rishi Chadha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, and Neeraj Singh in pivotal roles.
Written and helmed by Hitesh Kewalya, the film is being produced by Aanand L Rai. The plot of the film revolves around how a conservative family comes to terms with the fact that their son is gay. The film will hit the screens on March 13, 2020.
Hitesh Kewalya had written the screenplay and dialogues for ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhan’. The first part of the film which starred Ayushamann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar was based on erectile dysfunction.
