Spiritual calling: Ekta visits dargah, temple

On her way back from Ajmer, Ekta made a stopover at the Kale Hanumanji temple
Spiritual calling: Ekta visits dargah, temple
This time, Ekta Kapoor’s visit to Rajasthan took her to two holy places in the state – first to Ajmer Sharif, and then the Kale Hanumanji Temple in Jaipur. The dargah visit was her priority, but a delay in flight gave her a chance to visit the temple as well. After offering 11 chadars at the famous dargah, Ekta, dressed in a white kurta and churidaar, paid a hush-hush visit to the temple yesterday.

“When you actually feel connected to a god or goddess, you want to feel their presence in your life always. I feel the aura of Kale Hanumanji always drags me to this temple. I took an early morning flight and rushed straight to Ajmer Dargah. I was supposed to catch a return flight at 1pm, and while coming back from Ajmer, I kept thinking that I won’t be able to make it to the temple this time, or I will miss my flight. But God saved me. My flight got delayed and I grabbed the opportunity and came here,” said Ekta. She was accompanied by her mom’s Jaipur-based friend Minul Roy and Rajesh Nagpal.
No camera please! As Mahant Gopal Das Maharaj started doing the puja at the temple, Ekta requested all the cameramen to shut their cameras. “Please, abhi puja chal rahi hai. Aap log apne cameras thodi der ke liya band kar dijiye,” requested Ekta.
No prime slot She generally visits these two religious places before the release of her films and the launch of her television shows. Due to time constraint, this time, she could not make it before her show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' went on air. “I wanted to come before the launch of the show, but could not make it. I hope the show becomes a hit, since it’s a different take on love. Though I am not happy with the slot, there was no choice. I wanted the prime-time as it’s a family show and Indian viewers generally don’t like watching television after 11pm. I hope it won’t play a spoilsport for the show,” she said.
