Sooraj Pancholi shares a special bond with his mother

Sooraj Pancholi is more than just your average Bollywood newcomer. While most others his age are busy scouting for unique roles, working on their acting skills and bulking up, Sooraj has the dubious distinction of battling a court case for the death of his then girlfriend Jiah Khan. Having spent time in jail and been the target of several online bullies in the past three years, he says that the biggest support through it all, has been his mother, actress Zarina Wahab.
Today, on Mother's Day, he says that his mum is someone who he can confide in any time and how much he cherishes the bond he shares with her. He says although they don't live together, they make it a point to spend time together on weekends whenever they're both free. The actor says that while he doesn't discuss his problems with his father, Aditya Pancholi because he tends to get hyper, he is most comfortable sharing his thoughts with his mother. Having grown up with his grandparents in Bandra, he says that Zarina is responsible for keeping the family together ' both in good and bad times ' and feels that if it wasn't for her, they would have all drifted in different directions.

Sooraj adds that as a child he used to borrow money from his mother, only to go out and buy her a gift with the same money for Mother's Day. Now, however, he hopes to be able to buy her a big house in Hyderabad ' a city that Zarina loves and regularly visits ' from his own money. Ask him about the rumours about sharing screen space with his mother and the actor says there is no truth in it although he is hoping something materialises soon.
