And Sonu, who is following the short footsteps of Kamal Haasan and Anupam Kher ��� they played dwarves in Appu Raja and Jaaneman respectively ��� has come down from his great height to get into the character happily.
The star who visibly impressed audiences in Singh is Kingg, had to fold his legs and wear specially-made pants and shoes that were cut from the back and fitted onto his knees.���It was painful to walk on my knees, but once I got into character, I forgot all the inconvenience,��� smiled Sonu, who did not see Kamal���s film ���because I want to play the role my way���. He will be enacting Amitabh Bachchan���s role in Deewar in the film.
He explained, ���I practiced how to walk, stand, lean, etc. at home. My wife found it funny. But I had to look natural and not like someone trying hard to walk on his knees.��� He had to cut open five pairs of shoes in order to get the perfect fit. But Sonu didn���t mind. He once invited his father to the sets of Dhoondte Reh Jaoge. ���When dad saw me as the 3 feet 6 inches short dwarf, he said, ���Maine tujhe khila pila ke itna lamba chauda banaya aur tu itna sa ban gaya!������ reported Sonu Sood with a laugh.
