Impressive crowds thronged the inaugural three-day FlickBag Film and Music Festival beginning November 18 through 21, 2010 in Modesto, California, presented by Neteffect Media, which awarded actor Sonu Sood a ‘decade award’ in the best actor category for his sensitive portrayal in the international film, City of Life.
The festival founded by independent film maker, Param Gill, best known for his Hollywood film Rockin Meera, lined up some of the year’s hottest independent and mainstream Indian films and was attended by an international audience.

The festival included an awards ceremony that honored Uday Kumar of Reliance MediaWorks and film producer Govind Menon.
Other awards went to Konkana Sen Sharma for Best Actress, Imtiaz Ali for Best Director, Vinod Chopra, Best Producer, Udaan, Best Film, Pranav Dhinwar, Best Editor, and Vishaal Shekhar, Best Music, Best of Fest for Bicycle Bride. The festival was sponsored by Reliance MediaWorks, Dish Network, and many other local and international organisations. All proceeds were donated to Sahaita, a charity that performs surgical treatment for under privileged children in India.
