Soniya’s second coming

Soniya Mehra, the daughter of the late veteran actor Vinod Mehra, is Bollywood’s newest IT girl.
She spent most of her growing up years in Kenya and completed her education in London. Soniya went to school at The Mombasa Academy in Mombasa, Kenya. She began her training in acting at the age of only eight years from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) where she completed up to the Gold Medal with Honours.She also trained at The Arts Educational Schools of London at the age of 16-18. When she was 18, she moved back to Bombay and joined Anupam Kher’s acting school where she did a three month course.
Soniya is also a trained dancer and learnt various forms of dance including ballet, street jazz, kathak, hip hop, ballroom dance, Latin American dance, contemporary and Bollywood. And after having such an impeccable resume, she did a dud called Victoria No 203 and was buried neck down with the bad reviews. However, the girl is now slated for a ‘comeback’ under Abhay Deol’s banner. Here’s wishing the young girl luck, the second time around.
