Birthday girl
Sonam Kapoor received a heartwarming wish from her mother-in-law Priya Ahuja on June 9. The mother-in-law chose to celebrate her birthday, not just as a daughter-in-law but also as a doting mother to her two sons, Vayu and Rudra and shared some endearing pictures of Sonam with her baby boys.
Sharing a series of unseen family pictures on her social media account, Priya penned an emotional note for Sonam and wrote, "Happy Birthday to our wonderful Sonam who fills our home with so much warmth and love and a beautiful mother of our precious Vayu & Rudra. This birthday feels even more special as you celebrate with your two little angels besides you.
She added, "It fills our heart with more pride and admiration as you embrace motherhood once again with such beauty, patience and strength. May your life always shine with endless blessings and countless beautiful memories. May your little princes fill your life with laughter and love. Wishing you a birthday as special and as graceful as you are beta. Lots of love always."
Responding to the post, Sonam commented, "Love you so much mom."
The pictures offered fans a glimpse into Sonam's life post motherhood. One picture showed the actress in a candid moment with her elder son Vayu. In another picture, Sonam was seen cuddling her new born baby straight in the hospital. The post also highlighted Sonam's close bond with the Ahuja family.
For the uninitiated, Sonam and businessman Anand Ahuja tied the knot on May 8, 2018, in a star-studded wedding ceremony in Mumbai.
The pre-wedding festivities saw many Bollywood personalities in attendance, with videos of actors including Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and other family members dancing at the celebrations.
The couple welcomed their first child, son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, in August 2022. Earlier this year, they welcomed their second son, Rudra, adding another chapter to their growing family.
For the uninitiated, Sonam is the daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor and former model Sunita Kapoor, and made her acting debut with 'Saawariya' in 2007.
She later established herself with films such as 'Delhi-6', 'I Hate Luv Storys', 'Raanjhanaa', 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo', 'Neerja', 'Pad Man', 'Sanju' and 'The Zoya Factor'.
