Sonam Kapoor feels romcoms work only if both the actors have equally important roles

actress says that romcoms only work only if both the actors have relevant and important roles. According to her, the viewers need to fall in love with the lead characters. The

actor feels that the audience has to first fall in love with the jodi even before they fall in love with each other on the big screen. The

cited the example of her debut

film

'

Saawariya

', which didn’t work at the box office. Sonam feels that the film didn’t work because it revolved more around Ranbir Kapoor’s character. She also added that though her next movie is titled 'The Zoya Factor', it isn’t just about her character. The film is about two people who are entirely different from each other. While Dulquer, who plays the captain of the Indian cricket team is shown to be dedicated to his profession, Sonam’s character (Zoya) breezes through life and goes with the tide.
Sonam has had a successful run at the BO with her last film 'Veere Di Wedding' raking in a lot of moolah. Speaking about it, she said that she gives the credit of her success to age, maturity, wisdom, family and friends.
