Sonakshi Sinha defends Akshay Kumar after he gets trolled for his statement made in 2012

Bollywood celebrities often become the target of social media trolls. And the latest one on the list was Akshay Kumar. An old interview of the actor from 'Rowdy Rathore' promotions surfaced over the internet where he talks about his co-star Sonakshi Sinha. During the interview, he had said that Sonakshi has her own style when it comes to acting. He added that the actress has a unique figure, a typical Indian and not size zero. He went on to say that he is pure Punjabi and he likes heroines who are 'hari bhari' and like 'Chusa hua aam'.Out of the blue, this statement came up again over social media and netizens called the actor 'misogynistic' and more. Now, recently when Sonakshi was asked about the same, the actress slammed the trolls. She said that trolls have nothing better to do these days in life. The actress added that she has faced body shaming even after losing 30 kilos and what Akshay said at that times was on the same lines. She further said that people have to understand that she shares a great equation with him and he was talking about a friend and not a random girl. There was no intention of objectifying anyone and he was being a gentleman by defending her.The actress also stated that if the person about whom he made statements has no issues then no one should have it. Trolls should use their time for something better than this. Meanwhile, Sonakshi and Akshay wer last seen together in 'Mission Mangal' which was released on 15th August, 2019.
