Somy Ali says she was tired of Salman Khan’s '8 one-night stands', calls Bishnois the 'dawood of Bollywood'
Former actress Somy Ali held an ‘AMA’ (Ask Me Anything) session with her followers and fans on Reddit yesterday evening, where she shared some previously unknown details about her ex-boyfriend Salman Khan and his ongoing rift with the Bishnoi community.
Somy revealed that she eventually left Bollywood due to Salman Khan’s “eight one-night stands” in the 1990s. When a Reddit user asked why she left Bollywood, she responded, “Because I was tired of Salman’s eight one-night stands, not just one. Also, I didn’t appreciate being physically and verbally abused on a daily basis. I left when a boyfriend I was with brought in some new girl named Ash! I was tired of his one-night stands! And I finished my education.”
Somy opened up about her relationship with Salman Khan and its impact on her career. When asked how Salman managed to "bag a baddie" like her, she humorously remarked that she wasn’t a “badass” at 16. She also revealed that, while she has received multiple Bollywood offers, her return was reportedly hindered by her ex-boyfriend, who allegedly blocked her from projects, fearing she might reveal his true nature.
She further added that her entry into Bollywood was only to confess her crush on Salman, not to pursue acting. “Well, I didn’t go there to act. I went because of a stupid teenage crush, which is why they say you should meet your idols in real life. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I think Ted Bundy had better manners than Salman,” she said.
The actress also shared some sensitive statements regarding actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. “Sushant Singh Rajput did not die by suicide; in fact, he was murdered. We still don’t know what happened with Jiah Khan, as she was pregnant and found hanging from a ceiling fan, and Suraj Pancholi went to Salman for advice, which ultimately led to Jiah’s death,” she added.
Somy, who had previously supported Salman when he faced a death threat from the Bishnoi community, once again addressed the rift between Salman and Lawrence Bishnoi. She labeled the Bishnois as the new “Dawood and the Chota Shakeel of Bollywood.”
Despite her strong feelings, she clarified that she does not wish any harm to Salman. “I am against the death penalty and murder, whether it’s Salman or a stranger on the street. I do not care for Salman, in fact, I can’t stand him, but I do not want him murdered as I am a pacifist and a follower of Gandhi.”
Somy Ali previously posted a note on Instagram addressing Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster currently held in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail. In her post, Ali invited Bishnoi to communicate via Zoom, suggesting it could be beneficial for him. She also expressed a desire to visit Rajasthan, where Bishnoi’s temple is located.
Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai police arrested Sukha, an associate of Bishnoi, in connection with a plot targeting Khan. This arrest took place in Panipat, Haryana, where authorities allege he had organized a hit on Khan through the Bishnoi gang.
