Sohum Shah, who impressed many with his performance in Ship Of Theseus, is currently shooting for his next, Tumbad. Excited about being a part of a period drama, the actor-producer is leaving no stone unturned to fit the role perfectly. Sohum, who was required to bulk up for the film, followed a rigorous regimen and put on eight kilos. What’s more, the actor has worn prosthetics in certain parts of the movie and would sit through seven-hour-long prosthetic make-up sessions before the shoot.
ALSO READ: Sohum Shah goes underground for TumbadAbout the experience, he says, “The film is set in the colonial era of Maharashtra. So my character had to look a certain way. Since it took me about seven hours to just get into the look, I had to wake up at dawn and begin with the make-up.”
However, the actor is happy going the extra mile for the character. “It’s a very challenging role — not just mentally, but also physically,” he concludes.
